Honor ¹  widows who are truly in need. ² 

so that all people ¹  will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.

Honor all people, love the family of believers, ¹  fear God, honor the king.

honor your father and mother, ¹  and love your neighbor as yourself.” ² 

Then what was spoken by Jeremiah ¹  the prophet was fulfilled: “They took the thirty silver coins, the price of the one whose price had been set by the people of Israel, ² 

‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart ¹  is far from me,

Jesus answered, “I am not possessed by a demon, ¹  but I honor my Father – and yet ²  you dishonor me.

They also bestowed many honors, ¹  and when we were preparing to sail, ²  they gave ³  us all the supplies we needed. ⁴ 

“Honor your father and mother,” ¹  which is the first commandment accompanied by a promise, namely,

For God said, ¹  ‘Honor your father and mother’ ²  and ‘Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.’ ³ 

For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ ¹  and, ‘Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.’ ² 

You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’” ¹ 

But you say, ‘If someone tells his father or mother, “Whatever help you would have received from me is given to God,” ¹ 

He said to them, “Isaiah prophesied correctly about you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart ¹  is far from me.

You know the commandments: ‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, do not defraud, honor your father and mother.’” ¹ 

If anyone wants to serve me, he must follow ¹  me, and where I am, my servant will be too. ²  If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
