Now when the Pharisees ¹  heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, ²  they assembled together. ³ 

While ¹  the Pharisees ²  were assembled, Jesus asked them a question: ³ 

Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures ¹  will gather. ² 

When ¹  did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or naked and clothe you?

Now ¹  the Pharisees ²  and some of the experts in the law ³  who came from Jerusalem ⁴  gathered around him.

Both the apostles and the elders met together to deliberate ¹  about this matter.

(Now there were many lamps ¹  in the upstairs room where we were meeting.) ² 

Now ¹  the spirits ²  gathered the kings and their armies ³  to the place that is called Armageddon ⁴  in Hebrew.

After assembling all the chief priests and experts in the law, ¹  he asked them where the Christ ²  was to be born.

Whoever is not with me is against me, ¹  and whoever does not gather with me scatters. ² 

For where two or three are assembled in my name, I am there among them.”

The ¹  next day (which is after the day of preparation) the chief priests and the Pharisees ²  assembled before Pilate

After ¹  they had assembled with the elders and formed a plan, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,

So many gathered that there was no longer any room, not even by ¹  the door, and he preached the word to them.

Whoever is not with me is against me, ¹  and whoever does not gather with me scatters. ² 

so ¹  he thought to himself, ²  ‘What should I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’ ³ 

When they were all satisfied, Jesus ¹  said to his disciples, “Gather up the broken pieces that are left over, so that nothing is wasted.”

and not for the Jewish nation ¹  only, ²  but to gather together ³  into one the children of God who are scattered.) ⁴ 

On the next day, ¹  their rulers, elders, and experts in the law ²  came together ³  in Jerusalem. ⁴ 

On the next Sabbath almost the whole city assembled together to hear the word of the Lord. ¹
