Now from noon until three, ¹  darkness came over all the land. ² 

Therefore see to it ¹  that the light in you ²  is not darkness.

and if you are convinced ¹  that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness,

for you were at one time darkness, but now you are ¹  light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light –

Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather ¹  expose them. ² 

But if your eye is diseased, ¹  your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

Now ¹  when it was noon, ²  darkness came over the whole land ³  until three in the afternoon. ⁴ 

to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, ¹  to guide our feet into the way ²  of peace.”

It was now ¹  about noon, ²  and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, ³ 

Do not become partners ¹  with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness?

But you, brothers and sisters, ¹  are not in the darkness for the day to overtake you like a thief would.

For you all are sons of the light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of the darkness.

These men ¹  are waterless springs and mists driven by a storm, for whom the utter depths of darkness ²  have been reserved.

but the sons of the kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” ¹ 

And throw that worthless slave into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

The sun will be changed to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and glorious ¹  day of the Lord comes.

The night has advanced toward dawn; the day is near. So then we must lay aside the works of darkness, and put on the weapons of light.

He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves, ¹ 

If we say we have fellowship with him and yet keep on walking ¹  in the darkness, we are lying and not practicing ²  the truth.

wild sea waves, ¹  spewing out the foam of ²  their shame; ³  wayward stars ⁴  for whom the utter depths of eternal darkness ⁵  have been reserved.
