Then ¹  the women remembered his words, ² 

For nothing ¹  will be impossible with God.”

but the word of the Lord ¹  endures forever. ²  And this is the word that was proclaimed to you.

But he did not answer even one accusation, so that the governor was quite amazed.

But they did not understand this statement and were afraid to ask him.

“Now, according to your word, ¹  Sovereign Lord, ²  permit ³  your servant ⁴  to depart ⁵  in peace.

Yet ¹  his parents ²  did not understand ³  the remark ⁴  he made ⁵  to them.

But these words seemed like pure nonsense ¹  to them, and they did not believe them.

But if you do not believe what Moses ¹  wrote, how will you believe my words?”

Consequently faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the preached word ¹  of Christ. ² 

to sanctify her by cleansing her ¹  with the washing of the water by the word,

tasted the good word of God and the miracles of the coming age,

But they did not understand this statement; its meaning ¹  had been concealed ²  from them, so that they could not grasp it. Yet ³  they were afraid to ask him about this statement.

But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” ¹  (that is, the word of faith that we preach),

When ¹  they saw him, ²  they related what they had been told ³  about this child,

But Mary treasured up all these words, pondering in her heart what they might mean. ¹ 

during the high priesthood ¹  of Annas and Caiaphas, the word ²  of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness. ³ 

After Jesus ¹  had finished teaching all this to the people, ²  he entered Capernaum. ³ 

Thus ¹  they were unable in the presence of the people to trap ²  him with his own words. ³  And stunned ⁴  by his answer, they fell silent.

Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life.
