Do not be led astray, my dear brothers and sisters. ¹ 

But evil people and charlatans will go from bad to worse, ¹  deceiving others and being deceived themselves. ² 

And many false prophets will appear and deceive ¹  many,

These things I have written to you about those who are trying to deceive you. ¹ 

Jesus answered them, ¹  “Watch out ²  that no one misleads you.

He is not the God of the dead but of the living. ¹  You are badly mistaken!”

Jesus began to say to them, “Watch out ¹  that no one misleads you.

Then the Pharisees answered, ¹  “You haven’t been deceived too, have you? ² 

Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” ¹ 

He is able to deal compassionately with those who are ignorant and erring, since he also is subject to weakness,

What do you think? If someone ¹  owns a hundred ²  sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go look for the one that went astray? ³ 

For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ ¹  and they will mislead many.

For false messiahs ¹  and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ ¹  and they will mislead many.

Do not be deceived. God will not be made a fool. ¹  For a person ²  will reap what he sows,

My brothers and sisters, ¹  if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone turns him back,

For you were going astray like sheep ¹  but now you have turned back to the shepherd and guardian of your souls.

If we say we do not bear the guilt of sin, ¹  we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.

Little children, let no one deceive you: The one who practices righteousness ¹  is righteous, just as Jesus ²  is righteous.

And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, ¹  he will rejoice more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.
