Do not repay anyone evil for evil; consider what is good before all people. ¹ 

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

See that no one pays back evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.

Do not return evil for evil or insult for insult, but instead bless ¹  others ²  because you were called to inherit a blessing.

However, ¹  Paul ²  shook ³  the creature off into the fire and suffered no harm.

slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, contrivers of all sorts of evil, disobedient to parents,

Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” ¹ 

Beware of the dogs, ¹  beware of the evil workers, beware of those who mutilate the flesh! ² 

But no human being can subdue the tongue; it is a restless ¹  evil, full of deadly poison.

And he must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it.

for it is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be in fear, for it does not bear the sword in vain. It is God’s servant to administer retribution on the wrongdoer.

But if ¹  that evil slave should say to himself, ²  ‘My master is staying away a long time,’

He asked, “Why? What wrong has he done?” But they shouted more insistently, “Crucify him!”

For from within, out of the human heart, come evil ideas, sexual immorality, theft, murder,

Pilate asked them, “Why? What has he done wrong?” But they shouted more insistently, “Crucify him!”

Jesus replied, ¹  “If I have said something wrong, ²  confirm ³  what is wrong. ⁴  But if I spoke correctly, why strike me?”

They replied, ¹  “If this man ²  were not a criminal, ³  we would not have handed him over to you.” ⁴ 

But Paul called out loudly, ¹  “Do not harm yourself, ²  for we are all here!”

There will be ¹  affliction and distress on everyone ²  who does evil, on the Jew first and also the Greek, ³
