and the one who sees me sees the one who sent me. ¹ 

But see how great he must be, if ¹  Abraham the patriarch gave him a tithe ²  of his plunder.

Thus the Pharisees ¹  said to one another, “You see that you can do nothing. Look, the world has run off after him!”

In a little while ¹  the world will not see me any longer, but you will see me; because I live, you will live too.

Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses saw where the body ¹  was placed.

But ¹  when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled back.

So ¹  he said to them, “I saw ²  Satan fall ³  like lightning ⁴  from heaven.

But they were startled and terrified, thinking ¹  they saw a ghost. ² 

The woman said to him, “Sir, I see ¹  that you are a prophet.

Then what if you see the Son of Man ascending where he was before? ¹ 

concerning righteousness, ¹  because ²  I am going to the Father and you will see me no longer;

In a little while you ¹  will see me no longer; again after a little while, you ²  will see me.” ³ 

They came to the house of the synagogue ruler where ¹  he saw noisy confusion and people weeping and wailing loudly. ² 

Otherwise, ¹  when he has laid ²  a foundation and is not able to finish the tower, ³  all who see it ⁴  will begin to make fun of ⁵  him.

A large crowd was following him because they were observing the miraculous signs he was performing on the sick.

(Now the men ¹  who were traveling with him stood there speechless, ²  because they heard the voice but saw no one.) ³ 

Many ¹  women who had followed Jesus from Galilee and given him support ²  were also there, watching from a distance.

Now after the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.

And whenever the unclean spirits ¹  saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.”

They came to Jesus and saw the demon-possessed man sitting there, clothed and in his right mind – the one who had the “Legion” – and they were afraid.
