We ¹  sailed away from Philippi ²  after the days of Unleavened Bread, ³  and within five days ⁴  we came to the others ⁵  in Troas, ⁶  where we stayed for seven days.

One person regards one day holier than other days, and another regards them all alike. ¹  Each must be fully convinced in his own mind.

It was the day of preparation ¹  and the Sabbath was beginning. ² 

We put in ¹  at Syracuse ²  and stayed there three days.

You are observing religious ¹  days and months and seasons and years.

But the days are coming when the bridegroom will be taken from them, ¹  and at that time ²  they will fast.

But those days are coming, and when the bridegroom is taken from them, ¹  at that time ²  they will fast.”

Just ¹  as it was ²  in the days of Noah, ³  so too it will be in the days of the Son of Man.

(for while he lived among them day after day, that righteous man was tormented in his righteous soul ¹  by the lawless deeds he saw and heard ² )

And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.

And if the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would be saved. But because of the elect, whom he chose, he has cut them ¹  short.

where for forty days he endured temptations ¹  from the devil. He ²  ate nothing ³  during those days, and when they were completed, ⁴  he was famished.

Then ¹  he said to the disciples, “The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days ²  of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.

Therefore we do not despair, ¹  but even if our physical body ²  is wearing away, our inner person ³  is being renewed day by day.

For he says, “I heard you at the acceptable time, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” ¹  Look, now is the acceptable time; look, now is the day of salvation!

Now, dear friends, do not let this one thing escape your notice, ¹  that a single day is like a thousand years with the Lord and a thousand years are like a single day.

After he fasted forty days and forty nights he was famished. ¹ 

But I tell you, it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you!

But I tell you, it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom ¹  on the day of judgment than for you!”

They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised.” And they became greatly distressed.
