For if we are out of our minds, it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you.

When his family ¹  heard this they went out to restrain him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”

And all who heard Jesus ¹  were astonished ²  at his understanding and his answers.

Furthermore, some women of our group amazed us. ¹  They ²  were at the tomb early this morning,

And they paid close attention to him because he had amazed them for a long time with his magic.

Now Peter continued knocking, and when they opened the door ¹  and saw him, they were greatly astonished. ² 

All the crowds were amazed and said, “Could this one be the Son of David?”

The girl got up at once and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). They were completely astonished at this. ¹ 

Then he went up with them into the boat, and the wind ceased. They were completely astonished,

Her ¹  parents were astonished, but he ordered them to tell no one ²  what had happened.

Completely baffled, they said, ¹  “Aren’t ²  all these who are speaking Galileans?

All were astounded and greatly confused, saying to one another, “What does this mean?”

And immediately the man ¹  stood up, took his stretcher, and went out in front of them all. They were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”

Now in that city was a man named Simon, who had been practicing magic ¹  and amazing the people of Samaria, claiming to be someone great.

Even Simon himself believed, and after he was baptized, he stayed close to ¹  Philip constantly, and when he saw the signs and great miracles that were occurring, he was amazed. ² 

The ¹  circumcised believers ²  who had accompanied Peter were greatly astonished ³  that ⁴  the gift of the Holy Spirit ⁵  had been poured out ⁶  even on the Gentiles,

All ¹  who heard him were amazed and were saying, “Is this not ²  the man who in Jerusalem was ravaging ³  those who call on this name, and who had come here to bring them as prisoners ⁴  to the chief priests?”
