he has filled the hungry with good things, ¹  and has sent the rich away empty. ² 

So when Jacob heard that there was grain ¹  in Egypt, he sent our ancestors ²  there ³  the first time.

Then ¹  he said to me, ‘Go, because I will send you far away to the Gentiles.’”

So ¹  he sent another slave. They beat this one too, treated him outrageously, and sent him away empty-handed. ² 

When the brothers found out about this, they brought him down to Caesarea ¹  and sent him away to Tarsus.

When harvest time came, he sent a slave ¹  to the tenants so that they would give ²  him his portion of the crop. ³  However, the tenants beat his slave ⁴  and sent him away empty-handed.

A report ¹  about them came to the attention ²  of the church in Jerusalem, ³  and they sent Barnabas ⁴  to Antioch. ⁵ 

Brothers, ¹  descendants ²  of Abraham’s family, ³  and those Gentiles among you who fear God, ⁴  the message ⁵  of this salvation has been sent to us.

Then the brothers sent Paul away to the coast ¹  at once, but Silas and Timothy remained in Berea. ² 

But when the appropriate time ¹  had come, God sent out his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, who calls ¹  “Abba! ²  Father!”

And look, I am sending you ¹  what my Father promised. ²  But stay in the city ³  until you have been clothed with power ⁴  from on high.”

When ¹  Peter came to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued ²  me from the hand ³  of Herod ⁴  and from everything the Jewish people ⁵  were expecting to happen.”

They went out and proclaimed everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word through the accompanying signs.]]
