Also, if anyone competes as an athlete, he will not be crowned as the winner ¹  unless he competes according to the rules. ² 

and if ¹  I ask you, you will not ²  answer.

If we live, we live for the Lord; if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.

For now we are alive again, ¹  if you stand firm in the Lord.

And this is what we intend to do, ¹  if God permits.

Watch ¹  yourselves! If ²  your brother ³  sins, rebuke him. If ⁴  he repents, forgive him.

“If ¹  your brother ²  sins, ³  go and show him his fault ⁴  when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have regained your brother.

If ¹  he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. If ²  he refuses to listen to the church, treat him like ³  a Gentile ⁴  or a tax collector. ⁵ 

But you say that if anyone tells his father or mother, ‘Whatever help you would have received from me is corban’ ¹  (that is, a gift for God),

If you remain ¹  in me and my words remain ²  in you, ask whatever you want, and it will be done for you. ³ 

For circumcision ¹  has its value if you practice the law, but ²  if you break the law, ³  your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

Now food will not bring us close to God. We are no worse if we do not eat and no better if we do.

For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason for boasting, because I am compelled to do this. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!

And if we know ¹  that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.

And he said to him, “I will give you all these things if you throw yourself to the ground and worship ¹  me.”

For she kept saying to herself, ¹  “If only I touch his cloak, I will be healed.” ² 

Blessed is anyone ¹  who takes no offense at me.”

so much that he promised with an oath ¹  to give her whatever she asked.

Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ ¹  or ‘There he is!’ do not believe him.

Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures ¹  will gather. ²
