The hope ¹  of the righteous is joy, but the expectation of the wicked will remain unfulfilled. ² 

So the lame man ¹  paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them.

When a wicked person dies, his expectation perishes, ¹  and the hope of his strength ²  perishes. ³ 

What the righteous desire ¹  leads ²  only to good, but what the wicked hope for ³  leads ⁴  to wrath.

then the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not foresee,

You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” ¹ 

but only a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury ¹  of fire that will consume God’s enemies. ²
