Does God pervert 1 justice? 2 Or does the Almighty pervert 3 what is right?
For evil does not come up from the dust, 1 nor does trouble spring up from the ground,
The person who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1
The one who has the Son 1 has this 2 eternal 3 life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have this 4 eternal 5 life.
“But wisdom – where does it come from? 1 Where is the place of understanding?
Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice?
Does a farmer just keep on plowing at planting time? 1 Does he keep breaking up and harrowing his ground?
“Does the wild donkey 1 bray 2 when it is near grass? 3 Or 4 does the ox low near its fodder? 5
Then they say, “The Lord does not see this; the God of Jacob does not take notice of it.” 1
So then, the one who marries 1 his own virgin does well, but the one who does not, does better. 2
Dear friend, do not imitate what is bad but what is good. 1 The one who does good is of God; the one who does what is bad has not seen God. 2
It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth.
He does 1 great and unsearchable 2 things, marvelous things without 3 number; 4
Does he not see my ways and count all my steps?
Then 1 they cry out – but he does not answer – because of the arrogance of the wicked.
He does not allow the wicked to live, 1 but he gives justice to the poor.
It laughs at fear and is not dismayed; it does not shy away from the sword.
Our God is in heaven! He does whatever he pleases! 1
For human 1 anger does not accomplish God’s righteousness. 2
He does not charge interest when he lends his money. 1 He does not take bribes to testify against the innocent. 2 The one who lives like this 3 will never be upended.
