But the one who boasts must boast in the Lord. ¹ 

But as it is, ¹  you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.

If I must boast, ¹  I will boast about the things that show my weakness. ² 

Since many ¹  are boasting according to human standards, ²  I too will boast.

They trust ¹  in their wealth and boast ²  in their great riches.

On behalf of such an individual I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except about my weaknesses.

so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” ¹ 

¹ I say to the proud, “Do not be proud,” and to the wicked, “Do not be so confident of victory! ² 

so that no one can boast in his presence.

As the truth of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine ¹  will not be stopped ²  in the regions of Achaia.

I will boast ¹  in the Lord; let the oppressed hear and rejoice! ² 

They spew out threats ¹  and speak defiantly; all the evildoers boast. ² 

Where, then, is boasting? ¹  It is excluded! By what principle? ²  Of works? No, but by the principle of faith!

it is not from ¹  works, so that no one can boast. ² 

¹ The Lord says, “Wise people should not boast that they are wise. Powerful people should not boast that they are powerful. ²  Rich people should not boast that they are rich. ³ 

Those who put their hope in Cush and took pride in Egypt will be afraid and embarrassed. ¹ 

For if I have boasted to him about anything concerning you, I have not been embarrassed by you, ¹  but just as everything we said to you was true, ²  so our boasting to Titus about you ³  has proved true as well.

In God I boast all day long, and we will continually give thanks to your name. (Selah)

“It’s worthless! It’s worthless!” ¹  says the buyer, ²  but when he goes on his way, he boasts. ³ 

Do not boast ¹  about tomorrow; ²  for you do not know ³  what a day may bring forth.
