My child, ²  be attentive to my wisdom, pay close attention ³  to my understanding,

Pay attention and listen to my message! ¹  Be attentive and listen to what I have to say! ² 

O Lord, listen to me! ¹  Pay attention to ²  my plea for mercy!

Listen, children, ²  to a father’s instruction, ³  and pay attention so that ⁴  you may gain ⁵  discernment.

Pay attention, Job – listen to me; be silent, and I will speak.

One who acts wickedly ¹  pays attention to evil counsel; ²  a liar listens ³  to a malicious tongue. ⁴
