Both the apostles and the elders met together to deliberate ¹  about this matter.

“Pay attention to this, Job! Stand still and consider the wonders God works.

I thought about the days of old, about ancient times. ¹ 

Go to the ant, you sluggard; ¹  observe its ways and be wise!

‘Think carefully about the past: ¹  from today, the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, ²  to the day work on the temple of the Lord was resumed, ³  think about it. ⁴ 

Consider the work of God: For who can make straight what he has bent?

Here then is what the Lord who rules over all says: ‘Think carefully about what you are doing. ¹ 

“Moreover, the Lord who rules over all says: ‘Pay close attention to these things also. ¹ 

Watch my enemies, for they outnumber me; they hate me and want to harm me. ¹ 

“Don’t remember these earlier events; ¹  don’t recall these former events.

For I consider myself not at all inferior to those “super-apostles.” ¹ 

That is why I am terrified in his presence; when I consider, I am afraid because of him.

She considers ¹  a field and buys it; from her own income ²  she plants a vineyard.

For I consider that our present sufferings cannot even be compared ¹  to the glory that will be revealed to us.

And let us take thought of how to spur one another on to love and good works, ¹ 

For he ¹  knows deceitful ²  men; when he sees evil, will he not ³  consider it? ⁴ 

For the music director, to be accompanied by wind instruments; ²  a psalm of David. Listen to what I say, ³  Lord! Carefully consider my complaint! ⁴ 

Whoever is wise, let him take note of these things! Let them consider the Lord’s acts of loyal love!

The wicked prepare to kill me, ¹  yet I concentrate on your rules.

See how I love your precepts! O Lord, revive me with your loyal love!
