When he entered Capernaum, 1 a centurion 2 came to him asking for help: 3
Jesus 1 said these things while he was teaching in the synagogue 2 in Capernaum. 3
While in Galilee, he moved from Nazareth 1 to make his home in Capernaum 2 by the sea, 3 in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali,
Then 1 they went to Capernaum. 2 When the Sabbath came, 3 Jesus 4 went into the synagogue 5 and began to teach.
Now 1 after some days, when he returned to Capernaum, 2 the news spread 3 that he was at home.
So 1 he went down to Capernaum, 2 a town 3 in Galilee, and on the Sabbath he began to teach the people. 4
After Jesus 1 had finished teaching all this to the people, 2 he entered Capernaum. 3
And you, Capernaum, 1 will you be exalted to heaven? 2 No, you will be thrown down to Hades! 3
After 1 they arrived in Capernaum, 2 the collectors of the temple tax 3 came to Peter and said, “Your teacher pays the double drachma tax, doesn’t he?”
Then 1 they came to Capernaum. 2 After Jesus 3 was inside the house he asked them, “What were you discussing on the way?”
After this he went down to Capernaum 1 with his mother and brothers 2 and his disciples, and they stayed there a few days.
Now he came again to Cana 1 in Galilee where he had made the water wine. 2 In 3 Capernaum 4 there was a certain royal official 5 whose son was sick.
got into a boat, and started to cross the lake 1 to Capernaum. 2 (It had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.) 3
So when the crowd realized that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into the boats 1 and came to Capernaum 2 looking for Jesus.
And you, Capernaum, 1 will you be exalted to heaven? 2 No, you will be thrown down to Hades! 3 For if the miracles done among you had been done in Sodom, it would have continued to this day.
Jesus 1 said to them, “No doubt you will quote to me the proverb, ‘Physician, heal yourself!’ 2 and say, ‘What we have heard that you did in Capernaum, 3 do here in your hometown too.’”
The whole town gathered by the door.
Then 1 Jesus 2 left that place and went to the region of Judea and 3 beyond the Jordan River. 4 Again crowds gathered to him, and again, as was his custom, he taught them.
After getting into a boat he crossed to the other side and came to his own town. 1
When he heard that Jesus had come back from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and begged him 1 to come down and heal his son, who was about to die.
