Canaan was the father of Sidon – his firstborn – and Heth,

Canaan was the father of ¹  Sidon his firstborn, ²  Heth, ³ 

The sons of Ham were Cush, ¹  Mizraim, ²  Put, ³  and Canaan. ⁴ 

So they went up from Egypt and came to their father Jacob in the land of Canaan. ¹ 

The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, ¹  Put, and Canaan.

saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion of your inheritance.”

saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion of your inheritance.”

Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan.

That day God humiliated King Jabin of Canaan before the Israelites.

The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. (Now Ham was the father of Canaan.) ¹ 

Ham, the father of Canaan, ¹  saw his father’s nakedness ²  and told his two brothers who were outside.

So he said, “Cursed ¹  be Canaan! ²  The lowest of slaves ³  he will be to his brothers.”

He also said, “Worthy of praise is ¹  the Lord, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the slave of Shem! ² 

Jacob and all those who were with him arrived at Luz (that is, Bethel) ¹  in the land of Canaan. ² 

and Oholibamah bore Jeush, Jalam, and Korah. These were the sons of Esau who were born to him in the land of Canaan.

But Jacob lived in the land where his father had stayed, ¹  in the land of Canaan. ² 

They returned to their father Jacob in the land of Canaan and told him all the things that had happened to them, saying,

Jacob said to Joseph, “The sovereign God ¹  appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me.

I also established my covenant with them ¹  to give them the land of Canaan, where they were living as resident foreigners. ²
