Now I rejoice, not because you were made sad, ¹  but because you were made sad to the point of repentance. For you were made sad as God intended, ²  so that you were not harmed ³  in any way by us.

“We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this temple made with hands and in three days build another not made with hands.’”

The God who made the world and everything in it, ¹  who is ²  Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by human hands, ³ 

For just as through the disobedience of the one man ¹  many ²  were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one man ³  many ⁴  will be made righteous.

Like the one made of dust, so too are those made of dust, and like the one from heaven, so too those who are heavenly.

Then ¹  he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for people, ²  not people for the Sabbath.

But from the beginning of creation he ¹  made them male and female. ² 

But Jesus made no further reply, so that Pilate was amazed.

Yet ¹  his parents ²  did not understand ³  the remark ⁴  he made ⁵  to them.

Then ¹  he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. ²  Go in peace.”

You fools! ¹  Didn’t the one who made the outside make the inside as well? ² 

But Jesus ¹  said to him, “Man, ²  who made me a judge or arbitrator between you two?” ³ 

Then ¹  the second one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has made five minas.’

So they asked him, ¹  “How then were you made to see?” ² 

Some ¹  devout men buried Stephen and made loud lamentation ²  over him. ³ 

and he made no distinction ¹  between them and us, cleansing ²  their hearts by faith.

For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

The first man is from the earth, made of dust; the second man is from heaven.

So ¹  I made up my own mind ²  not to pay you another painful visit. ³ 

that ¹  by revelation the divine secret ²  was made known to me, as I wrote before briefly. ³
