I know and am convinced in the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean in itself; still, it is unclean to the one who considers it unclean.

(because they said, “He has an unclean spirit” ¹ ).

and those who suffered from ¹  unclean ²  spirits were cured.

He ¹  shouted with a powerful voice: “Fallen, fallen, is Babylon the great! She ²  has become a lair for demons, a haunt ³  for every unclean spirit, a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detested beast. ⁴ 

(For Jesus ¹  had said to him, “Come out of that man, you unclean spirit!”) ² 

But Peter said, “Certainly not, Lord, for I have never eaten anything defiled and ritually unclean!” ¹ 

Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit, ¹  and he cried out, ² 

After throwing him into convulsions, the unclean spirit cried out with a loud voice and came out of him.

And they saw that some of Jesus’ disciples ate their bread with unclean hands, that is, unwashed.

The voice ¹  spoke to him again, a second time, “What God has made clean, you must not consider ²  ritually unclean!” ³ 

But I said, ‘Certainly not, Lord, for nothing defiled or ritually unclean ¹  has ever entered my mouth!’

But the voice replied a second time from heaven, ‘What God has made clean, you must not consider ¹  ritually unclean!’

Jesus ¹  called his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits ²  so they could cast them out and heal every kind of disease and sickness. ³ 

“When ¹  an unclean spirit ²  goes out of a person, ³  it passes through waterless places ⁴  looking for rest but ⁵  does not find it.

They were all amazed so that they asked each other, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He even commands the unclean spirits and they obey him.”

And whenever the unclean spirits ¹  saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.”

Just as Jesus ¹  was getting out of the boat, a man with an unclean spirit ²  came from the tombs and met him. ³ 

Jesus ¹  called the twelve and began to send them out two by two. He gave them authority over the unclean spirits. ² 

Instead, a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit ¹  immediately heard about him and came and fell at his feet.

Now ¹  in the synagogue ²  there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean ³  demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,
