“‘If you present a grain offering of first ripe grain to the Lord, you must present your grain offering of first ripe grain as soft kernels roasted in fire – crushed bits of fresh grain. ¹ 

So ten of Joseph’s brothers went down to buy grain from Egypt.

So they loaded their grain on their donkeys and left. ¹ 

Crumble it in pieces ¹  and pour olive oil on it – it is a grain offering.

Every grain offering of a priest must be a whole offering; it must not be eaten.”

You must not muzzle your ¹  ox when it is treading grain.

When ¹  the plants sprouted and bore grain, then the weeds also appeared.

He then said, “Look, I hear that there is grain in Egypt. Go down there and buy grain for us ¹  so that we may live ²  and not die.” ³ 

He lit the torches ¹  and set the jackals loose in the Philistines’ standing grain. He burned up the grain heaps and the standing grain, as well as the vineyards and olive groves.

Then all of Judah brought the tithe of the grain, the new wine, and the olive oil to the storerooms.

By itself the soil produces a crop, first the stalk, then the head, then the full grain in the head.

“If a fire breaks out and spreads ¹  to thorn bushes, ²  so that stacked grain or standing grain or the whole field is consumed, the one who started ³  the fire must surely make restitution.

Can you count on ¹  it to bring in ²  your grain, ³  and gather the grain ⁴  to your threshing floor? ⁵ 

The threshing floors are full of grain; the vats overflow with fresh wine and olive oil.

And when the grain is ripe, he sends in the sickle ¹  because the harvest has come.” ² 

So when Jacob heard that there was grain ¹  in Egypt, he sent our ancestors ²  there ³  the first time.

The grains of seed ¹  have shriveled beneath their shovels. ²  Storehouses have been decimated and granaries have been torn down, for the grain has dried up.

When you go into the ripe grain fields of your neighbor you may pluck off the kernels with your hand, ¹  but you must not use a sickle on your neighbor’s ripe grain.

Moreover, you must season every one of your grain offerings with salt; you must not allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be missing from your grain offering ¹  – on every one of your grain offerings you must present salt.

It will be as when one gathers the grain harvest, and his hand gleans the ear of grain. It will be like one gathering the ears of grain in the Valley of Rephaim.
