Yet I will remember the covenant I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish a lasting ¹  covenant with you.

“Yet you say, ‘The Lord’s conduct ¹  is unjust!’ Hear, O house of Israel: Is my conduct unjust? Is it not your conduct that is unjust?

Yet I had pity on ¹  them and did not destroy them, so I did not make an end of them in the wilderness.

Yet she increased her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth when she engaged in prostitution in the land of Egypt.

“Yet your people ¹  say, ‘The behavior ²  of the Lord is not right,’ ³  when it is their behavior that is not right.

Yet you say, ‘The behavior of the Lord is not right.’ House of Israel, I will judge each of you according to his behavior.” ¹ 

Yet I will appoint them to keep charge of the temple, all of its service and all that will be done in it.

The arrogance of Israel testifies against him, yet they refuse to return to the Lord their God! In spite of all this they refuse to seek him!

Yet it was I who led ¹  Ephraim, I took them by the arm; but they did not acknowledge that I had healed them. ² 

“Yet even now,” the Lord says, “return to me with all your heart – with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Tear your hearts, ¹  not just your garments!”

They drink wine from sacrificial bowls, ¹  and pour the very best oils on themselves. ²  Yet they are not concerned over ³  the ruin ⁴  of Joseph.

yet you ¹  hate what is good, ²  and love what is evil. ³  You flay my people’s skin ⁴  and rip the flesh from their bones. ⁵ 

The Lord who rules over all ¹  says this: “These people have said, ‘The time for rebuilding the Lord’s temple has not yet come.’” ² 

I struck all the products of your labor ¹  with blight, disease, and hail, and yet you brought nothing to me,’ ²  says the Lord.

Aren’t two sparrows sold for a penny? ¹  Yet not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. ² 

Or have you not read in the law that the priests in the temple desecrate the Sabbath and yet are not guilty?

and will turn him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged severely ¹  and crucified. ²  Yet ³  on the third day, he will be raised.”

She had endured a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all that she had. Yet instead of getting better, she grew worse.

They will mock him, spit on him, flog ¹  him severely, and kill him. Yet ²  after three days, ³  he will rise again.”

He said, “Abba, ¹  Father, all things are possible for you. Take this cup ²  away from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
