In the same way even the chief priests – together with the experts in the law ¹  – were mocking him among themselves: ²  “He saved others, but he cannot save himself!

Then ¹  Levi gave a great banquet ²  in his house for Jesus, ³  and there was a large crowd of tax collectors and others sitting ⁴  at the table with them.

and Joanna the wife of Cuza ¹  (Herod’s ²  household manager), ³  Susanna, and many others who provided for them ⁴  out of their own resources.

He will come and destroy ¹  those tenants and give the vineyard to others.” ²  When the people ³  heard this, they said, “May this never happen!” ⁴ 

I sent you to reap what you did not work for; others have labored and you have entered into their labor.”

There was ¹  a lot of grumbling ²  about him among the crowds. ³  Some were saying, “He is a good man,” but others, “He deceives the common people.” ⁴ 

Some people said, ¹  “This is the man!” ²  while others said, “No, but he looks like him.” ³  The man himself ⁴  kept insisting, “I am the one!” ⁵ 

Others said, “These are not the words ¹  of someone possessed by a demon. A demon cannot cause the blind to see, ²  can it?” ³ 

The crowd that stood there and heard the voice ¹  said that it had thundered. Others said that an angel had spoken to him. ² 

Annas the high priest was there, and Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and others who were members of the high priest’s family. ¹ 

Now when they heard about ¹  the resurrection from the dead, some began to scoff, ²  but others said, “We will hear you again about this.”

But some people ¹  joined him ²  and believed. Among them ³  were Dionysius, who was a member of the Areopagus, ⁴  a woman ⁵  named Damaris, and others with them.

We ¹  sailed away from Philippi ²  after the days of Unleavened Bread, ³  and within five days ⁴  we came to the others ⁵  in Troas, ⁶  where we stayed for seven days.

If I am not an apostle to others, at least I am to you, for you are the confirming sign ¹  of my apostleship in the Lord.

Instead I subdue my body and make it my slave, so that after preaching to others I myself will not be disqualified.

but in the church I want to speak five words with my mind to instruct others, rather than ten thousand words in a tongue.

I am not saying this as a command, but I am testing the genuineness of your love by comparison with the eagerness of others. ¹ 

For I do not say this so there would be relief for others and suffering for you, but as a matter of equality.

For we hear that some among you are living an undisciplined life, ¹  not doing their own work but meddling in the work of others. ² 

But keep away from youthful passions, and pursue righteousness, faithfulness, love, and peace, in company with others ¹  who call on the Lord from a pure heart. ²
