how he entered the house of God, took ¹  and ate the sacred bread, ²  which is not lawful ³  for any to eat but the priests alone, and ⁴  gave it to his companions?” ⁵ 

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified because of the wife, and the unbelieving wife because of her husband. ¹  Otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy.

For the law appoints as high priests men subject to weakness, ¹  but the word of solemn affirmation that came after the law appoints a son made perfect forever.

Thus ¹  you will remember and obey all my commandments and be holy to your God.

Their fellow Levites were in charge of the storehouses ¹  in God’s temple and the storehouses containing consecrated items.

He says: ¹  “Assemble my covenant people before me, ²  those who ratified a covenant with me by sacrifice!” ³ 

In the camp they resented ¹  Moses, and Aaron, the Lord’s holy priest. ² 

The Lord tears down the house of the proud, ¹  but he maintains the boundaries of the widow. ² 

Now ¹  while some were speaking about the temple, how it was adorned ²  with beautiful stones and offerings, ³  Jesus ⁴  said,

You who tell others not to commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor ¹  idols, do you rob temples?

But it is God who establishes ¹  us together with you in Christ and who anointed us, ² 

In him ¹  the whole building, ²  being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,

to equip ¹  the saints for the work of ministry, that is, ²  to build up the body of Christ,

since ¹  we heard about your faith in Christ Jesus and the love that you have for all the saints.

For this is God’s will: that you become holy, ¹  that you keep away from sexual immorality,

because I hear ¹  of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love ²  for all the saints. ³ 

By his will ¹  we have been made holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
