If his head is bare on the forehead ¹  so that he is balding in front, ²  he is clean.

I will say to God, ‘Do not condemn ¹  me; tell me ²  why you are contending ³  with me.’

Men bow down to them in homage, they lie flat on the ground in worship. ¹  Don’t spare them! ² 

All the nations are insignificant before him; they are regarded as absolutely nothing. ¹ 

Then I said, “O sovereign Lord! They are saying of me, ‘Does he not simply speak in eloquent figures of speech?’”

And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

He spoke openly about this. So ¹  Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him.

But when Jesus heard this, he told ¹  him, “Do not be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.” ² 

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but ¹  the one who humbles ²  himself will be exalted.”

In the same way therefore not one of you can be my disciple if he does not renounce all his own possessions. ¹ 

So Jesus said to him, “Unless you people ¹  see signs and wonders you will never believe!” ² 

and he has granted the Son ¹  authority to execute judgment, ²  because he is the Son of Man.

(I do not accept ¹  human testimony, but I say this so that you may be saved.)

Jesus answered, “I am not possessed by a demon, ¹  but I honor my Father – and yet ²  you dishonor me.

For the law brings wrath, because where there is no law there is no transgression ¹  either.

For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers together until now.

You will say to me then, “Why does he still find fault? For who has ever resisted his will?”

For Christ is the end of the law, with the result that there is righteousness for everyone who believes.

These are all destined to perish with use, founded as they are ¹  on human commands and teachings. ² 

And no one assumes this honor ¹  on his own initiative, ²  but only when called to it by God, ³  as in fact Aaron was.
