I appeal to Euodia and to Syntyche to agree in the Lord.

the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept, ¹  because it does not see him or know him. But you know him, because he resides ²  with you and will be ³  in you.

So ¹  I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it, and it did taste ²  as sweet as honey in my mouth, but ³  when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter.

When John’s ¹  disciples heard this, they came and took his body and placed it in a tomb.

Simeon ¹  took him in his arms and blessed God, saying, ² 

And the child grew and became strong, ¹  filled with wisdom, ²  and the favor ³  of God ⁴  was upon him.

Other seed fell among the thorns, ¹  and they grew up with it and choked ²  it.

But when Jesus discerned their innermost thoughts, ¹  he took a child, had him stand by ²  his side,

It is of no value ¹  for the soil or for the manure pile; it is to be thrown out. ²  The one who has ears to hear had better listen!” ³ 

There will be two women grinding grain together; ¹  one will be taken and the other left.” ² 

For I tell you, I will not eat it again ¹  until it is fulfilled ²  in the kingdom of God.” ³ 

And the light shines on ¹  in the darkness, ²  but ³  the darkness has not mastered it. ⁴ 

So Jesus said, “Leave her alone. She has kept it for the day of my burial. ¹ 

Now ¹  when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.

There the centurion ¹  found ²  a ship from Alexandria ³  sailing for Italy, and he put us aboard it.

For this reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities ¹  are God’s servants devoted to governing. ² 

For one person is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, and another the message of knowledge according to the same Spirit,

It is one and the same Spirit, distributing as he decides to each person, who produces all these things.

so that there may be no division in the body, but the members may have mutual concern for one another.

Now the one who prepared us for this very purpose ¹  is God, who gave us the Spirit as a down payment. ²
