But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was going to betray him) ¹  said,

(This happened ¹  to fulfill the word Jesus had spoken when he indicated ²  what kind of death he was going to die. ³ )

When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple courts, ¹  he asked them for money. ² 

Then he said to the council, ¹  “Men of Israel, ²  pay close attention to ³  what you are about to do to these men.

And now what are you waiting for? ¹  Get up, ²  be baptized, and have your sins washed away, ³  calling on his name.’ ⁴ 

Then Festus ¹  replied that Paul was being kept at Caesarea, ²  and he himself intended to go there ³  shortly.

“Regarding all the things I have been accused of by the Jews, King Agrippa, ¹  I consider myself fortunate that I am about to make my defense before you today,

(for if you live according to the flesh, you will ¹  die), ²  but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live.

For I consider that our present sufferings cannot even be compared ¹  to the glory that will be revealed to us.

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor heavenly rulers, ¹  nor things that are present, nor things to come, nor powers,

whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future. Everything belongs to you,

Now before faith ¹  came we were held in custody under the law, being kept as prisoners ²  until the coming faith would be revealed.

For in fact when we were with you, we were telling you in advance that we would suffer affliction, and so it has happened, as you well know. ¹ 

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those ¹  who will inherit salvation?

Therefore, I intend to remind you constantly ¹  of these things even though you know them and are well established in the truth that you now have.

Therefore write what you saw, what is, and what will be after these things. ¹ 

So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going ¹  to vomit ²  you out of my mouth!

When ¹  they gathered together in Galilee, Jesus told them, “The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men. ² 

As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, ¹  he took the twelve ²  aside privately and said to them on the way,

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. Make sure that you are not alarmed, for this must happen, but the end is still to come. ¹
