for God is not characterized by disorder but by peace. As in all the churches of the saints, ¹ 

Be angry and do not sin; ¹  do not let the sun go down on the cause of your anger. ² 

For God is my witness that I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

So I hope to send him as soon as I know more about my situation,

but the word of the Lord ¹  endures forever. ²  And this is the word that was proclaimed to you.

Everyone who practices sin ¹  also practices lawlessness; ²  indeed, ³  sin is lawlessness.

The border then descended southward to the Valley of Kanah. Ephraim was assigned cities there among the cities of Manasseh, ¹  but the border of Manasseh was north of the valley and ended at the sea.

Let it be known to the king that we have gone to the province of Judah, to the temple of the great God. It is being built with large stones, ¹  and timbers are being placed in the walls. This work is being done with all diligence and is prospering in their hands.

When the prince provides a freewill offering, a burnt offering, or peace offerings as a voluntary offering to the Lord, the gate facing east will be opened for him, and he will provide his burnt offering and his peace offerings just as he did on the Sabbath. Then he will go out, and the gate will be closed after he goes out. ¹ 

“All the servants of the king and the people of the king’s provinces know that there is only one law applicable ¹  to any man or woman who comes uninvited to the king in the inner court – that person will be put to death, unless the king extends to him the gold scepter, permitting him to be spared. ²  Now I have not been invited to come to the king for some thirty days!”

The name of the first is Pishon; it runs through ¹  the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold.

Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” ¹  And he replied, “I don’t know! Am I my brother’s guardian?” ² 

Pairs ¹  of clean animals, of unclean animals, of birds, and of everything that creeps along the ground,

Every living creature, every creeping thing, every bird, and everything that moves on the earth went out of the ark in their groups.

“While the earth continues to exist, ¹  planting time ²  and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.”

His descendants ¹  settled from Havilah to Shur, which runs next ²  to Egypt all the way ³  to Asshur. ⁴  They settled ⁵  away from all their relatives. ⁶ 

¹ “If you buy ²  a Hebrew servant, ³  he is to serve you for six years, but in the seventh year he will go out free ⁴  without paying anything. ⁵ 

However, if the injured servant ¹  survives one or two days, the owner ²  will not be punished, for he has suffered the loss. ³ 

Do not make yourselves detestable by any of the swarming things. ¹  You must not defile yourselves by them and become unclean by them,

This is the law ¹  of the land animals, the birds, all the living creatures that move in the water, and all the creatures ²  that swarm on the land,
