When ¹  he learned that he was from Herod’s jurisdiction, ²  he sent him over to Herod, ³  who also happened to be in Jerusalem ⁴  at that time.

That very day Herod and Pilate became friends with each other, ¹  for prior to this they had been enemies. ² 

For this is certain: ¹  The days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore children, and the breasts that never nursed!’ ² 

that ¹  the Son of Man must be delivered ²  into the hands of sinful men, ³  and be crucified, ⁴  and on the third day rise again.” ⁵ 

Now ¹  that very day two of them ²  were on their way to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles ³  from Jerusalem. ⁴ 

but they urged him, ¹  “Stay with us, because it is getting toward evening and the day is almost done.” So ²  he went in to stay with them.

Now on the third day there was a wedding at Cana ¹  in Galilee. ²  Jesus’ mother ³  was there,

After this he went down to Capernaum ¹  with his mother and brothers ²  and his disciples, and they stayed there a few days.

Then the Jewish leaders ¹  said to him, “This temple has been under construction ²  for forty-six years, ³  and are you going to raise it up in three days?”

Immediately the man was healed, ¹  and he picked up his mat ²  and started walking. (Now that day was a Sabbath.) ³ 

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, ¹  and I will raise him up at the last day.

The one who eats ¹  my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. ² 

We must perform the deeds ¹  of the one who sent me ²  as long as ³  it is daytime. Night is coming when no one can work.

Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom he ¹  had raised from the dead.

You will know at that time ¹  that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you.

At that time ¹  you will ask in my name, and I do not say ²  that I will ask the Father on your behalf.

In those days ¹  Peter stood up among the believers ²  (a gathering of about one hundred and twenty people) and said,

beginning from his baptism by John until the day he ¹  was taken up from us – one of these must become a witness of his resurrection together with us.”

Even on my servants, ¹  both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. ² 

The sun will be changed to darkness and the moon to blood before the great and glorious ¹  day of the Lord comes.
