So a thousand from every tribe, twelve thousand armed for battle in all, were provided out of the thousands of Israel.

Though a thousand may fall beside you, and a multitude on your right side, it ¹  will not reach you.

Solomon had 4,000 ¹  stalls for his chariot horses and 12,000 horses.

So the Lord blessed the second part of Job’s life more than the first. He had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 yoke of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys.

From the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad, twelve thousand,

from the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Manasseh, twelve thousand,

from the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Issachar, twelve thousand,

from the tribe of Zebulun, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Joseph, twelve thousand, from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand were sealed.

They donated for the service of God’s temple 5,000 talents ¹  and ten thousand darics ²  of gold, 10,000 talents of silver, 18,000 talents of bronze, and 100,000 talents of iron.

King Belshazzar ¹  prepared a great banquet ²  for a thousand of his nobles, and he was drinking wine in front of ³  them all. ⁴ 

Remember ¹  continually his covenantal decree, the promise he made ²  to a thousand generations –

Not counting women and children, there were about five thousand men who ate.

Not counting children and women, ¹  there were four thousand men who ate. ²
