tn Here δέ (de) has not been translated because of differences between Greek and English style.

 tn Or “exult, boast.”

tn Or “who have the Spirit as firstfruits.” The genitive πνεύματος (pneumatos) can be understood here as possessive (“the firstfruits belonging to the Spirit”) although it is much more likely that this is a genitive of apposition (“the firstfruits, namely, the Spirit”); cf. TEV, NLT.

tn See the note on “adoption” in v. 15.

 tn Grk “body.”

tn Grk “its wrath”; the referent (the governing authorities) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

tn Grk “because of (the) conscience,” but the English possessive “your” helps to show whose conscience the context implies.
