Romans 1:21

Context
1:21 For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God or give him thanks, but they became futile in their thoughts and their senseless hearts 1  were darkened.

Romans 5:14

Context
5:14 Yet death reigned from Adam until Moses even over those who did not sin in the same way that Adam (who is a type 2  of the coming one) transgressed. 3

Romans 8:32

Context
8:32 Indeed, he who 4  did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all – how will he not also, along with him, freely give us all things?

1 tn Grk “heart.”

2 tn Or “pattern.”

3 tn Or “disobeyed”; Grk “in the likeness of Adam’s transgression.”

4 tn Grk “[he] who.” The relative clause continues the question of v. 31 in a way that is awkward in English. The force of v. 32 is thus: “who indeed did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all – How will he not also with him give us all things?”
