1 tn Heb “From before you may my justice come out.” The prefixed verbal form יָצָא (yatsa’) could be taken as an imperfect, but following the imperatives in v. 1, it is better understood as a jussive of prayer.

2 tn Heb “May your eyes look at what is right.” The prefixed verbal form is understood as jussive. (See also the preceding note on the word “behalf.”)

3 tn Or “forget.”

4 tn Heb “the voice of your enemies.”

5 tn Heb “the roar of those who rise up against you, which ascends continually.”

6 tn Heb “where your fathers tested me.”

7 tn The pronoun refers to the Lord himself (see vv. 5, 9).

8 tn Heb “my eyes fail for your word.” The psalmist has intently kept his eyes open, looking for God to intervene, but now his eyes are watery and bloodshot, impairing his vision. See Ps 69:3.

9 tn Heb “saying.”
