Nehemiah 4:17

Context
4:17 who were rebuilding the wall.¹ Those who were carrying loads did so² by keeping one hand on the work and the other on their weapon.

13:24 Half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod (or the language of one of the other peoples mentioned³) and were unable to speak the language of Judah.

¹tn The first words of v. 17, “who were rebuilding the wall,” should be taken with the latter part of v. 16.

²tn Heb “were carrying loads.” The LXX reads ἐν ὅπλοις (en hoplois, “with weapons”).

³tn Heb “people and people.”

displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
