Judges 1:17

Context

1:17 The men of Judah went with their brothers the men of Simeon 1  and defeated the Canaanites living in Zephath. They wiped out Zephath. 2  So people now call the city Hormah. 3 

Judges 3:10

3:10 The Lord’s spirit empowered him 4  and he led Israel. When he went to do battle, the Lord handed over to him King Cushan-Rishathaim of Aram and he overpowered him. 5

Judges 9:5

9:5 He went to his father’s home in Ophrah and murdered his half-brothers, 24  the seventy legitimate 25  sons of Jerub-Baal, on one stone. Only Jotham, Jerub-Baal’s youngest son, escaped, 26  because he hid.

9:7 When Jotham heard the news, 27  he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim. He spoke loudly to the people below, 28  “Listen to me, leaders of Shechem, so that God may listen to you!

9:27 They went out to the field, harvested their grapes, 29  squeezed out the juice, 30  and celebrated. They came to the temple 31  of their god and ate, drank, and cursed Abimelech.

20:26 So all the Israelites, the whole army, 42  went up to 43  Bethel. 44  They wept and sat there before the Lord; they did not eat anything 45  that day until evening. They offered up burnt sacrifices and tokens of peace 46  to the Lord.

21:23 The Benjaminites did as instructed. 47  They abducted two hundred of the dancing girls to be their wives. 48  They went home 49  to their own territory, 50  rebuilt their cities, and settled down. 51
