Isaiah 31:1
Context31:1 Those who go down to Egypt for help are as good as dead, 1
those who rely on war horses,
and trust in Egypt’s many chariots 2
and in their many, many horsemen. 3
But they do not rely on the Holy One of Israel 4
and do not seek help from the Lord.
Isaiah 37:24
Context37:24 Through your messengers you taunted the sovereign master, 5
‘With my many chariots I climbed up
the high mountains,
the slopes of Lebanon.
I cut down its tall cedars
and its best evergreens.
I invaded its most remote regions, 6
its thickest woods.
Isaiah 66:20
Context66:20 They will bring back all your countrymen 7 from all the nations as an offering to the Lord. They will bring them 8 on horses, in chariots, in wagons, on mules, and on camels 9 to my holy hill Jerusalem,” says the Lord, “just as the Israelites bring offerings to the Lord’s temple in ritually pure containers.
