Ezekiel 6:6

6:6 In all your dwellings, the cities will be laid waste and the high places ruined so that your altars will be laid waste and ruined, your idols will be shattered and demolished, your incense altars will be broken down, and your works wiped out. 1 

Ezekiel 26:10

Context
26:10 He will cover you with the dust kicked up by his many horses. 2  Your walls will shake from the noise of the horsemen, wheels, and chariots when he enters your gates like those who invade through a city’s broken walls. 3 

Ezekiel 31:12

Context
31:12 Foreigners from the most terrifying nations have cut it down and left it to lie there on the mountains. In all the valleys its branches have fallen, and its boughs lie broken in the ravines of the land. All the peoples of the land 4  have departed 5  from its shade and left it.

1 tn The Hebrew verb translated “wiped out” is used to describe the judgment of the Flood (Gen 6:7; 7:4, 23).

2 tn Heb “From the abundance of his horses he will cover you (with) their dust.”

3 tn Heb “like those who enter a breached city.”
