Ezekiel 11:19

Context
11:19 I will give them one heart and I will put a new spirit within them; 1  I will remove the hearts of stone from their bodies 2  and I will give them tender hearts, 3

Ezekiel 28:17

Context

28:17 Your heart was proud because of your beauty;

you corrupted your wisdom on account of your splendor.

I threw you down to the ground;

I placed you before kings, that they might see you.

Ezekiel 33:31

Context
33:31 They come to you in crowds, 4  and they sit in front of you as 5  my people. They hear your words, but do not obey 6  them. For they talk lustfully, 7  and their heart is set on 8  their own advantage. 9

Ezekiel 44:7

Context
44:7 When you bring foreigners, those uncircumcised in heart and in flesh, into my sanctuary, you desecrate 10  it – even my house – when you offer my food, the fat and the blood. You 11  have broken my covenant by all your abominable practices.

Ezekiel 44:9

Context
44:9 This is what the sovereign Lord says: No foreigner, who is uncircumcised in heart and flesh among all the foreigners who are among the people of Israel, will enter into my sanctuary. 12

1 tc The MT reads “you”; many Hebrew mss along with the LXX and other ancient versions read “within them.”

2 tn Heb “their flesh.”

3 tn Heb “heart of flesh.”

4 tn Heb “as people come.” Apparently this is an idiom indicating that they come in crowds. See D. I. Block, Ezekiel (NICOT), 2:264.

5 tn The word “as” is supplied in the translation.

6 tn Heb “do.”

7 tn Heb “They do lust with their mouths.”

8 tn Heb “goes after.”

9 tn The present translation understands the term often used for “unjust gain” in a wider sense, following M. Greenberg, who also notes that the LXX uses a term which can describe either sexual or ritual pollution. See M. Greenberg, Ezekiel (AB), 2:687.

10 tn Heb “to desecrate.”

11 tc The Greek, Syriac, and Latin versions read “you.” The Masoretic text reads “they.”

12 sn Tobiah, an Ammonite (Neh 13:8), was dismissed from the temple.
