Ezekiel 1:8

Context
1:8 They had human hands 1  under their wings on their four sides. As for the faces and wings of the four of them,

Ezekiel 4:12

Context
4:12 And you must eat the food like you would a barley cake. You must bake it in front of them over a fire made with dried human excrement.” 2 

Ezekiel 4:15

Context

4:15 So he said to me, “All right then, I will substitute cow’s manure instead of human excrement. You will cook your food over it.”

Ezekiel 29:11

Context
29:11 No human foot will pass through it, and no animal’s foot will pass through it; it will be uninhabited for forty years.

Ezekiel 32:13

Context

32:13 I will destroy all its cattle beside the plentiful waters;

and no human foot will disturb 3  the waters 4  again,

nor will the hooves of cattle disturb them.

1 tc The MT reads “his hand” while many Hebrew mss as well as the Qere read “hands of.” Two similar Hebrew letters, vav and yod, have been confused.

2 sn Human waste was to remain outside the camp of the Israelites according to Deut 23:15.

3 tn Heb “muddy.”

4 tn Heb “them,” that is, the waters mentioned in the previous line. The translation clarifies the referent.
