Deuteronomy 3:24

Context
3:24 “O, Lord God,¹ you have begun to show me² your greatness and strength.³ (What god in heaven or earth can rival your works and mighty deeds?)

Deuteronomy 5:27

Context
5:27 You go near so that you can hear everything the Lord our God is saying and then you can tell us whatever he⁴ says to you; then we will pay attention and do it.”

Deuteronomy 30:6

Context
30:6 The Lord your God will also cleanse⁵ your heart and the hearts of your descendants⁶ so that you may love him⁷ with all your mind and being and so that you may live.

¹tn Heb “Lord Lord.” The phrase אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה (’adonay yÿhvih) is customarily rendered by Jewish tradition as “Lord God.” Cf. NIV, TEV, NLT “Sovereign Lord.”

²tn Heb “your servant.” The pronoun is used in the translation to clarify that Moses is speaking of himself, since in contemporary English one does not usually refer to oneself in third person.

³tn Heb “your strong hand” (so NIV), a symbol of God’s activity.

⁴tn Heb “the Lord our God.” See note on “He” in 5:3.

⁵tn Heb “circumcise” (so KJV, NAB, NIV, NRSV); TEV “will give you and your descendents obedient hearts.” See note on the word “cleanse” in Deut 10:16.

⁶tn Heb “seed” (so KJV, ASV).

⁷tn Heb “the Lord your God.” See note on the second occurrence of the word “he” in v. 3.

displaying	set the max displaying in one page.	"20" will set displaying max to 20 per page
range	set searching range	"All Bible", "Old Testament", "New Testament"
