10:31 But Jehu did not carefully and wholeheartedly obey the law of the Lord God of Israel. 5  He did not repudiate the sins which Jeroboam had encouraged Israel to commit. 6 

2 Kings 17:34-35

Context

17:34 To this very day they observe their earlier practices. They do not worship 7  the Lord; they do not obey the rules, regulations, law, and commandments that the Lord gave 8  the descendants of Jacob, whom he renamed Israel. 17:35 The Lord made an agreement 9  with them 10  and instructed them, “You must not worship other gods. Do not bow down to them, serve them, or offer sacrifices to them.
