2 Kings 3:11

Context
3:11 Jehoshaphat asked, “Is there no prophet of the Lord here that we might seek the Lord’s direction?” 1  One of the servants of the king of Israel answered, “Elisha son of Shapat is here; he used to be Elijah’s servant.” 2

2 Kings 23:4

Context

23:4 The king ordered Hilkiah the high priest, the high-ranking priests, 3  and the guards 4  to bring out of the Lord’s temple all the items that were used in the worship of 5  Baal, Asherah, and all the stars of the sky. 6  The king 7  burned them outside of Jerusalem in the terraces 8  of Kidron, and carried their ashes to Bethel. 9

2 Kings 23:24

Context

23:24 Josiah also got rid of 10  the ritual pits used to conjure up spirits, 11  the magicians, personal idols, disgusting images, 12  and all the detestable idols that had appeared in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem. In this way he carried out the terms of the law 13  recorded on the scroll that Hilkiah the priest had discovered in the Lord’s temple.
