1 Samuel 10:3

Context

10:3 “As you continue on from there, you will come to the tall tree of Tabor. At that point three men who are going up to God at Bethel 1  will meet you. One of them will be carrying three young goats, one of them will be carrying three round loaves of bread, and one of them will be carrying a container of wine.

1 Samuel 13:2

Context
13:2 Saul selected for himself three thousand men from Israel. Two thousand of these were with Saul at Micmash and in the hill country of Bethel; 2  the remaining thousand were with Jonathan at Gibeah in the territory of Benjamin. 3  He sent all the rest of the people back home. 4

16:1 The Lord said to Samuel, “How long do you intend to mourn for Saul? I have rejected him as king over Israel. 5  Fill your horn with olive oil and go! I am sending you to Jesse in Bethlehem, 6  for I have selected a king for myself from among his sons.” 7
