1 Chronicles 15:27

15:27 David was wrapped in a linen robe, as were all the Levites carrying the ark, the musicians, and Kenaniah the supervisor of transport and the musicians; 1  David also wore a linen ephod. 2 

1 Chronicles 20:2

Context
20:2 David took the crown from the head of their king 3  and wore it 4  (its weight was a talent 5  of gold and it was set with precious stones). He took a large amount of plunder from the city.

1 tn Heb “the leader, the lifting up, the musicians.” See also the note on the word “matter” in v. 22.

2 sn An ephod was a priestly garment worn over the robe.

3 tc The translation follows the MT, which reads “of their king”; the LXX and Vulgate read “of Milcom” (cf. 1 Kgs 11:5). Milcom, also known as Molech, was the god of the Ammonites.

4 tn Heb “and it was on the head of David.”
