Matthew 15:15

But Peter ¹  said to him, “Explain this parable to us.”

Peter said, "Explain the parable to us."

Peter said to Him, "Explain the parable to us."

Then Peter asked Jesus, "Explain what you meant when you said people aren’t defiled by what they eat."

Peter said, "I don't get it. Put it in plain language."

Then Peter said to him, Make the story clear to us.

But Peter said to him, "Explain this parable to us."

Then Peter answered and said to Him, "Explain this parable to us."

But Peter ¹  said to him, “Explain this parable to us.”

¹ tn Grk “And answering, Peter said to him.” This construction is somewhat redundant in English and has been simplified in the translation.
