Psalms 78:36

But they deceived him with their words, ¹  and lied to him. ² 

But then they would flatter him with their mouths, lying to him with their tongues;

But they deceived Him with their mouth And lied to Him with their tongue.

But they followed him only with their words; they lied to him with their tongues.

But they didn't mean a word of it; they lied through their teeth the whole time.

But their lips were false to him, and their tongues were untrue to him;

But they flattered him with their mouths; they lied to him with their tongues.

Nevertheless they flattered Him with their mouth, And they lied to Him with their tongue;

But they deceived him with their words, ¹  and lied to him. ² 

¹ tn Heb “with their mouth.”

² tn Heb “and with their tongue they lied to him.”
