Luke 19:24

And he said to his attendants, ¹  ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to the one who has ten.’ ² 

"Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’

"Then he said to the bystanders, ‘Take the mina away from him and give it to the one who has the ten minas.’

Then turning to the others standing nearby, the king ordered, ‘Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one who earned the most.’

"Then he said to those standing there, 'Take the money from him and give it to the servant who doubled my stake.'

And he said to the others who were near, Take the pound away from him, and give it to the man who has ten.

He said to the bystanders, ‘Take the pound from him and give it to the one who has ten pounds.’

"And he said to those who stood by, ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.’

And he said to his attendants, ¹  ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to the one who has ten.’ ² 

¹ tn Grk “to those standing by,” but in this context involving an audience before the king to give an accounting, these would not be casual bystanders but courtiers or attendants.

² tn Grk “the ten minas.”
