Hebrews 7:16

who has become a priest not by a legal regulation about physical descent ¹  but by the power of an indestructible life.

one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life.

who has become such not on the basis of a law of physical requirement, but according to the power of an indestructible life.

He became a priest, not by meeting the old requirement of belonging to the tribe of Levi, but by the power of a life that cannot be destroyed.

not by genealogical descent but by the sheer force of resurrection life--he lives!--

That is to say, not made by a law based on the flesh, but by the power of a life without end:

one who has become a priest, not through a legal requirement concerning physical descent, but through the power of an indestructible life.

who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life.

who has become a priest not by a legal regulation about physical descent ¹  but by the power of an indestructible life.
