Psalms 75:2

God says, ¹  “At the appointed times, ²  I judge ³  fairly.

You say, "I choose the appointed time; it is I who judge uprightly.

"When I select an appointed time, It is I who judge with equity.

God says, "At the time I have planned, I will bring justice against the wicked.

You say, "I'm calling this meeting to order, I'm ready to set things right.

When the right time has come, I will be the judge in righteousness.

At the set time that I appoint I will judge with equity.

"When I choose the proper time, I will judge uprightly.

God says, ¹  “At the appointed times, ²  I judge ³  fairly.

¹ tn The words “God says” are not in the Hebrew text, but are supplied in the translation to clarify that God speaks in vv. 2-3.

² tn Heb “when I take an appointed time.”

³ tn Heb “I, [in] fairness, I judge.” The statement is understood in a generalizing sense; God typically executes fair judgment as he governs the world. One could take this as referring to an anticipated (future) judgment, “I will judge.”
