Proverbs 7:24

So now, sons, ¹  listen to me, and pay attention to the words I speak. ² 

Now then, my sons, listen to me; pay attention to what I say.

Now therefore, my sons, listen to me, And pay attention to the words of my mouth.

Listen to me, my sons, and pay attention to my words.

So, friends, listen to me, take these words of mine most seriously.

So now, my sons, give ear to me; give attention to the sayings of my mouth;

And now, my children, listen to me, and be attentive to the words of my mouth.

Now therefore, listen to me, my children; Pay attention to the words of my mouth:

¹ tn The literal translation “sons” works well here in view of the warning. Cf. KJV, NAB, NRSV “children.”
